MINEX Russia 2013 – The 9th International Mining and Exploration Forum will be held in Moscow from 1-3 October 2013 and will address ongoing problems and look into prospects for the development of the Russian mining industry in current macroeconomic and policy climate. The main theme of the Forum in 2013 will be “Managing mines during the downturn”.

MINEX Russia Forum is the largest and most prominent Mining and Mineral Exploration event in Russia. Every year it brings together over 500 mining professionals, investors and service companies from across Russia, CIS, Europe, Australia, Africa, America and Asia. Over the years the Forum has attracted more than 3,000 mining professionals and investors. 

MINEX Russia 2013 agenda integrates about 100 presentations featuring Russian and international practices of increasing efficiency and developing business while commodities prices drop down and financial resources grow scarce.

SGS will deliver two papers at MINEX Russia 2013.

  • On October 2, during the plenary session “Efficiency challenges and solutions for prospecting, exploration and mining” Mike Hallewell, Business Development Manager of SGS Minerals Services, will present over Process Plant Technical Risk Mitigation & Capex/Opex Cost Optimization.
  • On October 3, during the technical session “Increasing production efficiency and cutting on expenses of gold mining companies” Mike Hallewell will expand over the Trends and Challenges in Designing Flowsheets for Lower Grade, More Complex Gold Ores.
