Poultry Production Severnaya proved its commitment to quality and food safety
Poultry Production Severnaya, the leading full-cycle broiler production plant in Russia, obtained the international certificate of conformity to ISO 22000, the international standard based on HACCP food safety management principles.
Auditors from SGS Vostok Limited, the Russian subsidiary of SGS, which is the largest independent certification body globally, have checked all company’s divisions including breeding, incubation, growing, production of feed, slaughter and distribution. Based upon audit conclusions, certificates have been issued to Poultry Production Severnaya.
Prior to certification, a number of activities had been carried out in order to bring the company’s management system in conformance with international standards. All company’s staff, from top managers to ordinary workers have been trained for HACCP principles.

The availability of an effective management system enables us to hold all business processes under control and to minimize the risks related to any food manufacture. Our target is to double our production volume by 2010, and this certification is one of the key elements of our business plan to achieve this target», - said Gerhard Unger, Quality Manager of Poultry Production Severnaya.
