SGS Awards ISO 9001:2008 Certification to Scientific Center of Biggest Precious Metals Miner
SGS awarded CJSC Polymetal Engineering with ISO 9001:2008 certification for their compliance with the requirements for Quality Management Systems. The scope of certification covers design works and scientific research in ore mining and smelting. With the high professional level of the employees and their efforts to implement the quality management system, they were able to prepare for the certification in a shorter span of time.
On October 12, 2009, Andrey Vandyshev, Branch Manager of SGS in North West Russia, presented the certificate to Valery Tsyplackov, Managing Director of CJSC Polymetal Engineering.
“The fact that we have successfully completed and received certification for the international standard ISO 9001:2008 on the basis of accreditation by UKAS (the UK), as well as the implementation of a manageable system for quality management, we will certainly be able to promote further development for the company and increase its attractiveness both to clients and partners,” said Valery Tsyplackov.
The upgrading of the quality control system and the achievement of certification will bring the scientific center strategic and economic benefits, including the optimization of their management system. They will also gain advantage over competitors and ultimately increase the quality of the services they provide.

CJSC Polymetal Engineering is a scientific research and design center that was created within the structure of JSC Polymetal.
