Tomsk Distributive Company JSC became the first energy supplier in Siberia to have its integrated management system certified under the international standards ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001:2007 and under their Russian equivalents, i.e. within both international and Russian certification systems.

In March 2010, auditors from SGS Vostok Limited, the Russian subsidiary of the SGS Group, conducted the audit of Tomsk Distributive Company during which the management system implemented in the company was verified against the three standards. As a result of the verification, SGS awarded Tomsk Distributive Company three international certificates under SAS accreditation (Switzerland). Also, Tomsk Distributive Company obtained the integrated management system certificate of conformity under GOST R accreditation (Russia). The awarded certificates prove that the implemented system complies with international requirements in the field of quality management, occupational health and safety management and environmental management.

The Managing Director and First Deputy General Director of Tomsk Distributive Company JSC, Oleg Petrov noted that the availability of a certified integrated management system adds to the investment attractiveness of the company. “Thanks to the implementation and development of the management system we intend to boost the quality of energy supply service, increase occupational safety and minimize the negative environmental impact of our company’s activity”, said O. Petrov.

While delivering the certificates to Tomsk Distributive Company’s management Andrey Grinenko, Urals and Siberia Branch Manager of SGS Vostok Limited, said: “Our auditors have particularly emphasized the high professional level of Tomsk Distributive Company’s personnel as well as the activities aimed at preventing trauma and negative environmental impact such as technical inspection, production control and renovation of equipment. Indeed, the objective of an effective management system consists not only of elimination of consequences but also of the prevention of potential problems related to quality, occupational health, safety and environment”.

The Chief Engineer of Tomsk Distributive Company, Vassiliy Sklokin thanked all the company’s staff for their fruitful contribution in the establishment, implementation and development of the integrated management system. “We are going to actively apply the implemented system’s continuous improvement principle”, noted V. Sklokin.

Interregional Distributive Grid Company of Siberia provides supply and distribution of power in Altay, Buriatya, Tyva and Khakass republic, Zabaikalsky region, Krasnoyarsk region, Kemerovo region, as well as Omsk and Tomsk regions. IDGC of Siberia includes branches as follows – Altayenergo, Buriatenergo, Gorno-Altayeskiye electric grids, Krasnoyarskenergo, Kuzbassenergo, Omskenergo, Khakassenergo, Chitaenergo. Tomsk Distributive Company JSC is governed by IDGC of Siberia, “Tyvaenergo” JSC is an affiliate company of IDGC of Siberia. There are 245 districts of power grids active in the branches. Territory of coverage is 2,173 million square km. Total length of power lines is equal to 271.642 thousand km., transformer substations 6-10-35/0,4 kV – 55,369 pcs, substations 35 kV and higher – 1,922 pcs. Total number of employees exceeds 19 thousand people.
