Petrokholod Implements Food Safety System
In June 2012, after completing the specialized SGS course focusing on development and documentation of the food safety management system according to FSSC 22000 requirements, the General Director and managers of all divisions at Petrokholod have successfully passed the exam and obtained SGS certificates on course completion.
“Personnel knowledge enhancement and professional skills development are crucial in the framework of the strategic decision of our company to implement the food safety management system based on ISO 22000 and ISO/TS 22002-1”, said the General Director of Petrokholod Igor Ivanov. “Participation in this training session had a team-building effect and helped us to have a new look upon management system implementation and certification”.
“The high level of involvement of top-management within the process of developing and implementing a management system that we witnessed during the training session in Petrokholod is the pre-requisite of such projects’ success”, highlighted Alexander Dolmatov, Systems and Services Certification Manager for Northwest Russia at SGS Vostok Limited, the Russian subsidiary of the SGS Group.
Petrokholod is one of the largest ice-cream producers in Russia. The company manufactures ice-cream since 1946. Today, Petrokholod produces over 100 types of ice-cream with the use of natural fillers and additives.
