The leading importer and manufacturer of packaged cheese and butter in the Northwest Russia Nevskiye Syry Group has been certified by SGS against FSSC 22000 scheme.

The Group was founded in 1994 and includes Nevskiye Syry Ltd. (production of packaged food) and Nevskiye Molokoproduky Ltd. (cheese import and distribution, retail services).

Serious preparatory activities preceded to certification: throughout 2012 the food safety management system in Nevskiye Syry Group was being upgraded in accordance with international requirements. In February 2013, SGS auditors verified the corporate management system’s compliance with FSSC 22000 criteria. As a result of the audit, SGS issued the certificate under SAS accreditation with 3-year validity.

“The last time I had similar feelings was when I obtained my degree in University”, said President of Nevskiye Syry Group Albert Sufiyarov when receiving the SGS certificate. “This is in fact an appraisal of our team work. We spared no efforts to obtain this certificate of conformity to international requirements and intend to follow this way further justifying the trust of our consumers”.

“The FSSC 22000 scheme based on ISO 22000 standard and technical specifications for sector PRPs is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative GFSI, which makes the FSSC 22000 certificate truly valuable in the global food market”, emphasized Alexander Dolmatov, Head of Systems and Services Certification in North-West Russia at SGS Vostok Limited, during the certificate hand-over and wished Nevskiye Syry Group success in maintaining and improving the implemented management system.
