The first SGS Academy course in Irkutsk focused on ISO 22000
We are pleased to inform that on 8-10 October 2013 the first SGS Academy training course took place in Irkutsk. The three-day course covered the topic of how to develop and document a food safety management system as required by ISO 22000:2005.
The seminar gathered representatives of largest food manufacturers from the Irkutsk region, including producers of dairy, fat and butter products, eggs, meat products, alcoholic and soft drinks, bakery and vegetables.
Traditionally the SGS Academy course contained a reasonable balance between lecturing and practical exercises enabling the attendees both to gain new knowledge and to acquire the skills needed to develop and document a management system at their workplaces.
‘This was our first experience of delivering training in the Irkutsk region and we faced a vivid interest of local companies towards international standards, namely to food safety standards’, said Elena Veretennikova, Training Manager at Systems and Services Certification of SGS Vostok Limited, the Russian subsidiary of the SGS Group. ‘The testimonials given by our course’s attendees in Irkutsk were highly positive and we shall be happy to further share our expertise and assist food companies and other industries in this region’.
